Full Day Tour to Mount Batur Kintamani

Mount Batur Kintamani Tour Package

Kintamani is really a beautiful place. It is a town where Mount Batur and Lake Batur are located. We suggest that if you intend to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the place, you should come during the clear sky time. Because it is usually foggy in the morning and late afternoon so you cannot really see everything clearly. Please remember to go down near Batur lake.  The views around the lake and the active volcano are really wonderful. The exotic hot springs with volcano rocks are worth visiting.

While we were in Bali we went on a trip to Kintamani for one day. The scenery was surely beautiful. However, one thing I remember the most is a very young local child that came up to me trying to sell me carved pencils. Those sorts of pencils were the most gorgeous things we had ever seen and were bargaining with him. We had only been there a day so that we were still trying to get used to the local currency and the conversion rates. When we return in the future we will go back to Kintamani and will buy 100 of those pencils.  We just hope that we will meet the same young boy so that we can give him a tip.

Kintamani is in fact great for day trips, trekking and hiking to the summit of the volcano or simply for getting away from it all for a few days. At a site called “Penelokan”, you can enjoy viewing the wonderful panorama of Mount Batur set in a huge volcanic crater basin. It is an ideal stop on the way to Singaraja town in the northern coast of Bali or even you can climb up to a peaceful temple called “Pura Tegeh Kuripan”. Please try to arrive in Kintamani area in the clear mid day, as it is often foggy in the afternoon, especially during the wet season of tropical Bali.

The volcano and lake of Batur in Kintamani was really impressive although it is not the highest mountain in Bali island. The so called “Gunung Batur” (Mount Batur) is actually the volcanic cone. “Gunung Batur” is actually a volcano within a volcano.  Visitors can drive along the rim of an 8 kilo meters wide caldera while looking across the still active Mount Batur which still spouts lava and slowly builds new height. There are a number of restaurants in Kintamani. So, you can have lunch at a restaurant 400 meters up a hill which had a great panorama over the volcano during your trip.

If you would like to try more challenging activities, trekking up to the summit of Mt. Batur which is 1,717 meters high is an exciting choice. The upper cone itself is only several hundred meters above the level of the lake and can be climbed up and descended in a few hours with the help of a local guide. At the peak, there is a warm crust of ground over the cauldron. Please make sure to hire a local guide, as it can be dangerous trekking up to the peak when you need to enjoy the magnificent sunrise. A community that organizes experienced local guides and drivers called Bali Jungle Trekking can be your reliable trekking trip organizer.

  1. Its like you learn my mind! You seem to understand so much approximately this, like you wrote the e-book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few percent to force the message home a little bit, but instead of that, that is excellent blog. An excellent read. I'll definitely be back. craigslist pittsburgh
